A SUPER CHARGED ATMOSPHERE
Eight senior serving judges from across the United States, former judges of the Indian and Hawaii Supreme Courts, the Dean of a renowned American Law School participated in the India-US Law and Justice forum yesterday. The theme of the forum was “The role of the judiciary in protecting the rule of law and promoting access to justice”.
The forum chair Prof. Dr. C. Raj Kumar, the visionary Vice Chancellor of the most prominent private university in India O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), forum convenor Dr. Vinod Surana, Managing Partner and CEO of Surana & Surana International Attorneys India and Hon’ble Justice Swatanter Kumar set the ball rolling for the three sessions (i) Rule of law: new challenges; (ii) Law and Technology: new paradigms; (iii) Access to justice: new opportunities, that followed.
Chief Guest, Mr. S. Regupathy, Minister of Law, Government of Tamil Nadu said “I must acknowledge the contribution of our organizers. Indian participants included former judges, senior advocates, leaders from Bar Associations, Deans and senior professors from law schools, industry leaders and prominent citizens.
