DEFENCE ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT COURSE

The Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) conducted their 22nd Defence Acquisition Management Course (DAMC) on March 1 & 2, 2023 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Dr. Vinod Surana, Managing Partner & CEO, Surana & Surana International Attorneys India concluded the two-day session by acknowledging the Government’s recognition of SIDM as the voice of the defence manufacturing Industry. “SIDM’s initiatives have been excellent in capacity building and strengthening the defence industry in India. There is great scope for Indian defence manufacturing companies of all sizes,” he said.

Rear Admiral (Retd.) Pritam Lal, a SIDM veteran, was the Chief Instructor. @Sunil Kumar Mishra, Director General of SIDM and Bharat Jain, Director of SIDM along with senior officers from the three services – Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force actively participated in the program. Various aspects of defence acquisition procedures and guidelines were presented to the attentive participants over the two days. There were special sessions on Make Procedure and Schemes of 3 Services, Defence exports and Technology Development Fund and others.
